Joan Kroc Visionary Memberships
Joan Kroc’s vision for the first Kroc Center in San Diego was that everyone, regardless of financial status, deserves the opportunity to improve their health, build connections, foster creativity, learn new skills, and participate in a vibrant community. Because of this vision, the mission handed down through every Kroc Center is to offer a portion of our membership opportunities each year at a reduced rate to individuals and families who qualify.
How to Apply for our Joan Kroc Visionary Membership
Stop by The Kroc Center Welcome Desk to pick up an application or print the application off down below.
If 30 days are exceeded the application will be voided. Applicant will have to restart the process and resubmit.
Turn in your completed application, along with copies of all requested verification documents that best reflect gross annual income of each adult (19+) that will be on the membership to the Kroc Center Welcome Desk.

- Incomplete applications will be discarded and not reviewed.
- Applicant may not leave applications for Welcome Desk and ask them to put them on hold. All information must be submitted at the same time.
Applications will be reviewed for approval by the Membership Management.
Approval phone calls and emails will be made to the contact information provided on the application.

Applicant will have to return the Welcome Desk within 30 days to finalize their scholarship.

Service & Education Member Rate
We’re proud to offer a discounted membership rate to those in the Military (all military service personnel), Education (education staff, homeschool families, college students), and First Responder (EMT, Fire, Police) fields.
When applying for membership at the Kroc Center, please let us know if you fall under these qualifications.
Neighbor Members
Are you a Canopy South neighbor leasing through Seldin Company? If so you may qualify for a Neighbor-Member rate. Speak to your Seldin leasing agent for further details, then stop by the Kroc for a tour and more information.

Insurance Benefit Programs
If you are enrolled in insurance benefit programs such as SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, and Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare, you could qualify for a free Kroc Center membership.
