Membership Definitions

Family Membership Definition

Household Members must reside with the primary member and anyone 19+ is required to provide verification. Verification examples include: tax return, utility bill, health insurance, etc.

Dependents Definition

Dependents are youth or other family members that depend on primary member for support. Verification of dependency may be requested.

Full-Time Student Definition

A college student enrolled in 12 or more credits. Academic proof including class schedule and student ID will be required annually.

Membership Fees, Cancellations, Changes, Late AutoPay & Insufficient Funds Policies

Monthly Payments/One-time Annual Payment

Membership fees can be paid monthly via recurring credit card charge or electronic funds transfer (bank account debit). Prorated fees will be due at time of enrollment and may vary depending upon enrollment date. To complete electronic funds transfer process, a voided check must be provided with completed membership form. Membership fees are withdrawn on or around the 1st of each month for that month’s dues. There is a $10 late fee for dues not paid by the 10th of the month. Any changes to membership must be submitted  in writing by the 15th of the month in order to be processed that month.

Annual payments may be paid in full by cash, check, or major credit/debit card. Fees are equivalent to 12 monthly payments. The annual fee is due at time of enrollment.

Paid in full memberships receive a 6% discount.

Membership Cancellation/Change Policy

Changes or cancellations to a membership must be submitted in writing using a “Cancellation/Change Form” at any time. Changes may take 24 to 48 hours to take effect.

Cancellations

Membership fees are nonrefundable. In order to cancel a membership, members must submit a written request by the 10th day of the current month for it to become effective in the following month. If a member cancels or if membership payments lapse for more than 30 days, the appropriate registration fee will be charged to reopen the membership account. There is no fee charged for cancellation.

Changes

Any requested change that affects the billing of your membership must be submitted by the 10th of the month to be processed for the following month. If changes occur after the 10th of the month, please see the front desk for pro-rated amount. Membership downgrades and addition of family members are subject to a $5 change fee.

Late AutoPay

AutoPay EFT and credit authorizations that are incomplete or rejected must be resolved before month end or membership will expire. Expired memberships due to nonpayment will incur a $10 reinstatement fee.

Insufficient Funds Policy

There is a $30 charge for each insufficient funds transaction. This places your membership on hold until payment is received.

Equipment & Locker Room Rules

Equipment

Free use of athletic equipment including volleyballs & basketballs (collateral may be required).

Lockers

Guests are responsible for supplying their own lock and clearing locker after each use. The Salvation Army is not liable for lost or stolen property.

Group/Personal Trainer Policy

Public drop-in access is intended for inclusive recreational use. Any external group use/training/coaching should contact the rental department for specific group requests.

Personal Group/Individual Training & Program Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a one-on-one session or any personal or group coaching session requires 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of any monies paid.

Scholarship Program

Individuals, families, and seniors who cannot afford Kroc Center membership or fees for youth camps and/or group classes can apply for a discount. Eligibility for this program is based on income level. Scholarship applications are available at the front desk.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are available for purchase at the front desk and can be used by recipient to pay for memberships, class and program fees, facility rentals, and merchandise. Gift cards cannot be used for class materials, theater and performance tickets, vendor events or non-Kroc sponsored events.

Program & Services Cancellations

Full payment is expected at the time of enrollment. No cash refunds are given unless the program is canceled by The Kroc Center.

Cancellations due to low attendance may receive a full refund or transfer of fees into a future session. Weather-related cancellations within a session may or may not be rescheduled based on the available schedule. No refunds will be issued for weather-related cancellations. Cancellations requested after registration will be subject to a 15% refund processing fee unless fees are transferred to a future session or another program. Requests made less than five days prior to the start date are not eligible for a refund or credit except in cases of personal emergencies. Please contact the department Program Manager over-seeing the session to request a refund and start the process.
The amount of the 15% processing fee will be submitted to the Welcome desk (credit cards) or Business Systems Administrator (checks) by the Program Director.

Services:
(Personal Training, Private Swim Lessons or Private Piano or Pottery Instruction)
All training session(s) and/or private lesson(s) must be paid in full prior to your first session. No extension of time will be granted if client is late to session. A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule a session – if notice is not given the session will be deducted from your current package. All training session(s) and/or package(s) are non-transferable, non-refundable. Sessions and packages for each service type have specific age requirements. If an individual under the minimum age would like to purchase a service session or package approval will be needed from the department manager. All sessions/packages expire 1 year from purchase date.

Day Pass Policy

Anyone purchasing a day pass:

  • Will be required to show photo ID* (ages 19+).
  • Will be referenced via public sources to help determine whether a guest may pose unreasonable harm to our patrons, staff or visitors.
  • Day Passes purchased are nonrefundable.
  • Children 11 and under are required to have an adult present at all times.
  • Ages 18 and younger must have an adult 19 or older with ID present on first visit.
  • Day Pass does not include Drop-In Classes.

*By showing your photo ID at the front desk, you help The Kroc Center to provide a quality, state-of-the-art, facility where individuals and families can work, play and grow together in a safe and nurturing environment. Thank you for your cooperation with this policy.

KidZone Policies

We welcome you to bring your children ages 1-7 to play, learn, and grow in our loving and secure environment. We believe that each child is a unique gift from God and our dedicated staff is committed to fostering the development of the children who spend time in our care. Your child will engage in imaginative free play and exciting educational programs throughout each stay with us in our KidZone.

Policies & Procedures

  • KidZone is available to all members and guests
  • KidZone if for children ages 1-7 years of age
  • A maximum of 2 hours usage
  • Complimentary to members, $5 to guests
  • The same parent or guardian who drops the child off must be the one to pick up the child at check out
  • Parents or guardians must always remain in the center
  • No personal items are allowed in the KidZone, except the child’s jacket or coat
  • If your child wears a diaper, it is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to change the child’s diaper if needed. A staff member will notify you to return to KidZone if needed.
  • KidZone and the Kroc Center have the right to deny entry into KidZone at any time. Should a child show aggressive behaviors or have difficulty with being left in the KidZone area, staff will attempt to resolve the situation. If they are not able to, the parent or guardian will be located.

Safety Information

The Salvation Army is dedicated to keeping children and vulnerable adults safe from physical, emotional and sexual harm. We refer to our safety efforts as “Protecting The Mission.”

Protecting The Mission Guidelines

Protecting The Mission guidelines ensure The Kroc Corps Community Center emphasizes safety in the following ways:

  • Salvation Army personnel (officers, employees and volunteers) are trained in child abuse prevention and are mandated reporters of suspected child/vulnerable adult abuse.
  • Salvation Army personnel undergo criminal background checks.
  • As part of our commitment to the safety of children and vulnerable persons, The Salvation Army Kroc Center reserves the right to consult public sources to determine whether any member or guest of any member poses an unreasonable risk of harm to its patrons, staff, or visitors.
  • Adults accessing the facility will be screened against the public sexual offender registry.
  • In order to promote a safe and secure environment, The Salvation Army Kroc Center has placed video cameras in various locations and maintains video surveillance of the facility 24 hours a day.
  • Instructors are trained in appropriate interactions with Kroc members to enhance learning by creating a safe and inviting environment.
  • Programs involving children are closely monitored to ensure adequate supervision and safe interactions between Kroc personnel and children.
  • The Kroc Center constantly adapts and enhances safety protocols to adjust to needs.
  • Members and guests are encouraged to report suspicious behavior. Request a Comment Card at the front desk, do not disclosure your name on the card if you wish to remain anonymous.
  • The Salvation Army Kroc Center reserves the right to remove from the facility and terminate the membership of any member who fails to comply with any posted rules and regulations or otherwise breaches the Code of Conduct, in which case the member will not be entitled to a refund of dues.

Code of Conduct & Discipline Policy

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is committed to providing an enjoyable, safe, and secure experience for our members and guests. In order to assist in maintaining this objective video cameras have been placed in various locations. Activities or actions that violate the law, threaten the safety of our guests and employees, disrupt our family environment and business, or are inconsistent with the general purpose of the Kroc Center will not be allowed on our campus. The Kroc Center is privately owned, and individuals determined to be in violation of our facility rules or code of conduct may be suspended from the facility or have facility usage privileges permanently removed.

Code of Conduct

Disruptive actions or activities that will result in response by management:

  • Patrons determined to be routinely inconsiderate or disrespectful to other patrons or staff.
  • Patrons that mistreat or damage property or equipment.
  • Profanity, vulgar or threatening language and/or inappropriate body or hand gestures.
  • Fighting, roughhousing or disorderly conduct.
  • Entering the facility without checking in and/or paying the appropriate admission fee.
  • Excessive loitering.
  • Being under the influence of and/or in the possession of alcohol or drugs.

Facility Rules

  • The facility is an Alcohol, Smoke and Tobacco (including vaping) free area.
  • All weapons are prohibited, with the exception of on-duty or on-call law enforcement officials, whose weapon(s) must remain on their person at all times while at the Kroc Center.
  • Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or solicitation of drugs or vaping are not allowed.
  • No outside food or beverage is allowed. Food and beverage consumption is limited to designated areas only.
  • Children 11 years and younger must be accompanied at all times by a paying participant 16 years or older.
  • Activities deemed a liability or that are inherently dangerous are not allowed. Examples include, but are not limited to, skateboarding, hover boarding, etc.
  • Shirts and shoes are required throughout the facility except for designated areas such as locker rooms and the Aquatics Center.
  • Dress should be appropriate to a family environment and consistent with the positive environment we are trying to create. Dress identified as gang apparel; revealing clothing such as short shorts, halter or tube tops, sagging pants, short tops or other clothing with visible undergarments; and clothing that displays or promotes banned activities or with vulgar or derogatory wording are not permitted.
  • School age children will not be allowed in the center during school hours, when school is in session, unless accompanied by an adult.
  • No solicitation by any outside group or organization can be made on the property without express permission from Kroc leadership.
  • Registered sex offenders are not allowed on any part of the Kroc Campus. As part of our commitment to the safety of children and vulnerable persons, the Kroc Center reserves the right to consult public sources to determine whether any member or guest of any member poses an unreasonable risk of harm to its patrons, staff, or visitors.

The Kroc Center Administration is the sole arbiter of what violates building standards – lists provided are to be considered examples and not necessarily a complete list of prohibited activities or actions.
